Mississippi’s Adolescent Literacy Initiative sets important expectations for screening, intervention, progress monitoring, professional learning, and science-of-reading instruction in Grades 4–8. The leadership challenge now is making those components work together so assessment leads to action, intervention responds to student need, and students continue to engage with grade-level learning. Join Stuart Greenberg, a veteran literacy leader whose career spans state education, reading research, district academic leadership, school improvement, and assessment implementation. In this 45-minute session, Stu will translate the research on adolescent literacy into practical leadership decisions that help districts and schools build a coherent path from student data to instruction and growth. **Can’t attend live?** Register and we’ll send the recording. **Register** ### You’ll learn how to: **Connect Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 instruction** so struggling readers receive additional support while maintaining access to grade-level ideas and content. **Turn screening and diagnostic data into instructional action** so identifying a struggling reader leads to a specific next step. **Match intervention to the source of reading difficulty**, including word reading, fluency, vocabulary, language, background knowledge, and comprehension. **Build educator capacity and monitor student response** so leaders know when support should continue, change, or intensify. ### About Stu Greenberg  Stu Greenberg is Beable’s Vice President of Strategic Planning for Data and Curriculum. For more than four decades, he has helped educators translate reading research, student data, and instructional strategy into action that improves student outcomes. His leadership roles have included **Executive Director of Just Read, Florida!; Director of Early Learning Programs at the Florida Department of Education; Assistant Director of the Florida Center for Reading Research; Chief Academic Officer for Leon County Schools;** and **Regional Vice President of Assessment Implementation at Curriculum Associates**. He also spent 22 years with Broward County Public Schools and led school improvement work in Escambia County.
