New feature embeds authentic writing practice into high-interest academic lessons, supporting literacy growth while saving educators time

February 4, 2026 — Beable today announced the release of a new integrated writing feature designed to help students build essential writing skills directly within Beable’s high-interest academic lessons. Developed in responseto educator feedback, the new tool allows teachers to introduce meaningful writing tasks without adopting a separate writing platform or disrupting existing instructional workflows.

As districts continue to prioritize literacy accelerationand college- and career-readiness, educators have asked for ways to extend reading comprehension into authentic writing practice. Beable’s new writingfeature meets this need by embedding writing directly into lessons, reinforcingcomprehension while giving students regular opportunities to articulate ideas,develop arguments, and communicate clearly.

The feature supports two types of writing prompts. Quick Writes invite students to respond to short reflection prompts connected to the lesson, while extended, academic-centric prompts ask students to produce multi-paragraph responses aligned to grade-level expectations. Students can draft, save, and submit their writing within Beable’s familiar lesson experience.

For educators, the integrated workflow is designed to reduce friction and save time. Teachers are notified when students submit writing, can rate submissions using a simple star-based scale, and may provide targeted feedback to support improvement. Writing ratings and completion data are reflected in Beable’s dashboards and reports, giving educators clear visibility into student progress without additional administrative burden.
